Develops Innovation strategies, processes, and best practices
Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects
Ensures business needs are being met
Leads and participates in medium- to large-scale, complex, cross-functional projects
Leads the discovery phase of medium to large projects to come up with high level design
Leads the work of other small groups of six to ten engineers, including offshore associates, for assigned Engineering projects
Promotes and supports company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity
Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates
Supports business objectives
Troubleshoots business and production issues
Utilizes industry research to improve Wal-Mart's technology environment

Minimum Qualifications


• Manage software development engineers and lead Engineering projects
• Mentor software engineers through their career growth
• Build an open, positive and energized culture.
• Engage in technical design and discussions and also help drive technical architecture.
• Drive our technical roadmap and direction of our stack.
• Ensure the happiness and productivity of the team’s software engineers
• Help mitigate risk (technical, product, personnel)
• Collaborate with QA, Cross functional , Product, UX and Technical Support teams
• Utilize professional acumen to improve WalmartLabs technology, product, and Engineering

Additional Preferred Qualifications


• Experience/solid understanding in the following areas,
• Experience in Java
• Knowledge on Android and/or iOS development is a big plus
• Knowledge on React Native
• Experience building, adopting and maintaining REST’ful api’s.
