Position Description


The Director – Cost Analytics, is a member of the Global Cost Analytics Team, and will lead multiple Cost Analytics projects across different geographies, and be responsible for the development of vendor negotiation strategies and tactics. She / he will conduct complex analyses and work with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities to negotiate lower net cost with vendors across WMT’s portfolio of categories and build action plans and tactics to capture identified opportunities. The Director – Global Cost Analytics will partner with the merchants throughout the negotiation process.

Minimum Qualifications


• 8+ years of experience, of which 3+ years of experience in a top tier management consulting firms
• Graduate degree in Statistics, Math, Economics or MBA in Top schools preferred
• Experience working on growth strategies, pricing analyses, vendor funding programs design, marketing effectiveness programs, FMCG trade funding management & optimization
• Strong analytical skills – creative problem solver that can deliver comprehensive, balanced & actionable analysis; ability to run analyses on large data sets and build complex analytical models
• Strong oral and written communication skills – including the ability to develop and deliver presentations in a professional and direct manner
• Proven ability to effectively build and manage relationships, interact at all levels within the organization and across multiple functions
• Excellent team leadership and interpersonal skills; ability to persuade, communicate vision and motivate people at every level, cooperative working style
• Expert in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
